Citizens and government working together, hand-in-hand, to solve problems
Our Fellowship program brings together developers, designers, and researchers on the same platform as domain experts and government entities. This collaboration helps improve government processes, accelerate digital transformation, and enhance citizen service delivery by leveraging technology, human-centered design processes, and collaboration.
Each year, we select a limited number of technology professionals, pair them with government departments, and provide them training and skill upgrades, to work on public services. We offer mentorship from industry experts and exposure to inner workings of the government. Most importantly, the fellows work on government projects that create a large-scale positive impact.
The objective of each Fellowship is to develop innovative, citizen-centered digital solutions that are both sustainable and cost-effective for our government partners. These solutions are crafted using open-source technologies, with the potential to be replicated and redeployed in departments and cities with similar contexts and use cases.
Our Fellowship Program revolves around three key features:
Citizens and government working together, hand-in-hand, to solve problems
Adopting user-centric, lean, and agile development methodologies
Increasing civic engagement by creating innovative solutions in public services
Discovery Research: We sit with government departments to discuss and identify areas of improvement.
Cohort Selection: Government hires skilled technologists and designers to work on digital solutions.
Agile Development: Fellows collaborate with departments to iteratively build the required applications.
Deploy & Train: Software is tested and deployed, stakeholders are trained on using and maintaining the solution.
Scale & Iterate: Application usage is monitored, tracked, and adjusted for long term sustainability.
